About Our Chainsaw Maintenance & Crosscutting Courses
Hush Farms offers HSE approved Chainsaw training courses in Maintenance and Crosscutting, across Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Cornwall and Wales.
Chainsaws are exceptionally versatile tools, but they're also potentially very dangerous. Serious accidents can and do happen – so, even if you're using them for leisure, it's important to have proper chainsaw training and to keep your skills up to scratch.

Our Integrated Training and Assessment (ITA) chainsaw maintenance & crosscutting courses lead to a LANTRA Awards Certificate in Basic Chainsaw Training. NPTC CS30 chainsaw certification can be arranged for an additional fee.
We also offer chainsaw refresher courses so you can update your training. Check out our list of available chainsaw courses below to see which ones would suit your training requirements.

We do our best to be flexible around your needs, so you’re welcome to come and enjoy the chainsaw training courses at one of our sites in East Devon or mid-Wales, or we’ll come to a venue near you in the South West and throughout the UK. Plus, we’ll fit the course around your schedule – just let us know your most convenient times.
The Legal Bit
The law states that anyone who uses a chainsaw in the workplace must have proof of adequate training from a qualified person, to operate the machine safely, in appropriate conditions. Your chainsaw training must also be periodically updated. This legislation applies to everyone – volunteers, employed or self-employed alike.
