About the Hush Farms Young Person Tractor Driving Course
Young people who are involved in farming, or have grown up in a rural land based environment want to be involved in the working life around them. Tractors are at the heart of working farm life. Providing young people with driver training is a great way to give them a structured and safe experience and the independence to help with agricultural activities.
This training is a mix of practical and theoretical elements, from learning about the dangers of tractor misuse, the impact of accidents and tractors in confined spaces, through to how hitches work and using mounted or trailed equipment.
Attendees also learn about the risks from PTOs, how to conduct pre-start checks and maintenance and the importance of being a safety conscious operator. All in a fun and practical learning environment.
