Your chainsaw training must also be periodically updated. This legislation applies to everyone – volunteers, employed or self-employed alike.
About the Hush Farms Felling and Processing up to 380mm Training
Felling trees, then cross cutting and processing the timber, is one of the higher-risk jobs in land management, arboriculture and forestry. Before felling trees, site inspection, safety assessments and risk management are all essential skills to avoid serious injuries. Knowing how to assess the direction of travel for felled trees, weight distribution, and the surrounding environment are also important factors to consider.
This course is designed around using chainsaws practically in woodland, on farms and in forests. For this reason, training is on-site and hands-on, and attendees are required to have completed the chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting course before attending this one.
Our felling and processing training meets HSE requirements for workplace chainsaw use, and we can also provide chainsaw refresher courses if required. This course is ITA, which means the assessment is built into the training and ongoing, rather than a separate session. If you require NPTC CS31 certification, then we can provide this for an additional charge.
We do our best to be flexible, and our training is tailored to your needs. You’re welcome to come and complete your chainsaw training courses at one of our sites in East Devon, or Mid-Wales, or we'll come to a venue near you in the South West and throughout the UK. Plus, we’ll fit the course around your schedule. Just let us know your most convenient times.
